KEY TAKEAWAY: You need to register frequent or long-term guests (does not apply to legally immediate family members), and any guests who visit when you are not home. When in doubt, contact us to register your guests.
The following HOA guest rules have been abbreviated for simplicity:
1. A “guest” is defined as anyone visiting Baylofts other than: approved resident – or their immediate family (spouse, children, parent, grandparent, sibling and grandchildren). Guests are not permitted to occupy a unit for thirty (30) days or more without the owner/tenant. A person occupying a unit without the owner/tenant for any fifteen (15) calendar days or more in a year will be considered a lessee and is subject to the same lease requirements.
2. Guests who stay in a unit, for any duration of time, without the approved resident (“Unescorted Guest”) must register at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to their visit. They must fill out the Unescorted Guest Unit Access Authorization Form and show a government-issued ID. They must also attest that they are not leasing the unit.
3. Approved residents are responsible for their guests and invitees following the rules.
4. All unregistered guests must be accompanied by an approved owner or tenant to utilize the amenities. For example, no unescorted guests are allowed in the pool area or the gym.
5. The approved resident must provide keys and other access devices to their guests. The association and its representatives or contractors cannot help with guest access.
6. Guests may be asked to leave and their stay terminated for violating the rules of the association.
7. If a guest causes any damage to Baylofts, it is is the sole responsibility of the unit who invited them.
